Sub Zero Kinematic Viscosity
RHEOTEK JETVISC Sub Zero Kinematic Viscometer - Automation in full compliance with ASTM D445 & D1655 Sub-Zero kinematic viscometer - ASTM D445 & D1655 Manufactured by Poulten Selfe & Lee Ltd, United Kingdom
The RHEOTEK JETVISC is the first fully automated viscometer for testing aviation fuel (jet fuel) at sub-zero temperatures. Aviation fuel is required to conform to the specifications laid out in ASTM D1655 and DEF STAN 91:91.
One of the key parameters of these industry specifications is kinematic viscosity. In order to comply with the specification, the kinematic viscosity has to be meausured in a glass capillary viscometer according to the procedure described in ASTM D445.
The RHEOTEK JETVISC complies fully with ASTM D445. Every step of the method has been automated in this self contained, fully automated, kinematic viscometer for testing aviation fuel at minus twenty degrees Celsius.
